Information You Provide to Us
When interacting with our Services, you may provide Information to us through website inquiries and casting opportunities. Information you provide to us may be collected through website inquiries, third-party casting platforms, application portals, releases, authorizations, and related production documents. We may collect and review photographs, audition videos, voice recordings, written submissions, and other content voluntarily provided by applicants in connection with a casting opportunity. When you communicate with us through the Services, via email, or through our customer support, we may receive certain Information, such as your name, email address, phone number, or other information you provide or is included in such communications.
Automatically Collected Information
When visitors use the website, Lucky 8 may automatically collect limited information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, referring URL, and usage information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.
Geolocation Data – Lucky 8 does not collect precise geolocation data through the general website but may infer general location from IP address for website operation, security, and analytics.
Information from Third Parties
We may receive Information about you from our affiliates, subsidiaries and sister companies. We also may receive Information about you from our business partners, including third-party casting agencies and/or websites, application platforms, and service providers. Information submitted through those platforms may also be subject to the privacy policies and terms of the platform provider. We encourage you to review those policies directly.
If you participate or apply to participate in a Lucky 8 program, we may obtain information from background screening providers, public records, references, and other lawful sources after obtaining any required authorization. Certain productions may require us to review health, medical, physical, or psychological information relating to participant eligibility, safety, accommodation, insurance, or production requirements. Such information will generally be collected through separate authorizations, releases, or participant documents.
2. Reality Casting Applicants
If you apply to participate in a Lucky 8 TV production, program, series, special, pilot, or other project, we may collect information relating to your application and participation.
This information may include:
contact information;
date of birth, eligibility information, and demographic information such as gender, race, and ethnicity;
photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media you submit;
social media handles, social media content you submit to us, and publicly available information from social media platforms and other publicly accessible online sources that may be reviewed for casting, eligibility, production, promotional, or safety purposes;
occupation, work history, and biographical information for casting purposes;
information contained in application materials, questionnaires, interviews, and casting submissions;
background check information, where permitted by law and authorized by you;
health or medical information, where relevant to eligibility, safety, insurance, accommodation, or production requirements and where authorized or permitted by law; and
compensation, payment, tax, and related information if you are selected to participate.
We may use this information to evaluate applicants; determine eligibility; conduct background screening; assess participant safety and production requirements; communicate regarding casting opportunities; produce, distribute, advertise, and promote productions; comply with legal obligations; and protect the rights, safety, and property of Lucky 8, production partners, participants, and the public.
We may also retain and review casting applications and related materials in connection with future casting opportunities, productions, or projects that we believe may be of interest to the applicant, subject to applicable law and any limitations described in this Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use your Information for the following purposes:
Provision of Services – for the provision of our Services, including management and administration of our Sites, provision of technical or other customer support to resolve technical issues, website security and consent-preference management, and provision of a customized experience where such functionality is available.
Collaborate with Business Partners – we use your Information to collaborate with our business partners, such as our network and platform partners, who produce, broadcast, distribute and promote Lucky 8 projects or programs.
Communications – we use your Information to communicate with you and respond to your inquiries or requests regarding our Services, or customer service inquiries, to request feedback or to keep you informed of our latest updates to our Services.
Marketing and advertising purposes – we may use your Information to send you promotional materials, such as marketing emails, concerning our Services, where permitted by applicable law and where you have provided contact information for that purpose. If you participate in a Lucky 8 project or program, we may use Information about you, such as photos and/or videos of you and other participants, for promotional and marketing purposes, subject to applicable releases, authorizations, consents, or other program-related agreements.
Improvement of our Services– we may conduct surveys or test features, and analyze the Information we have to develop, maintain, measure and improve our Services.
Operate our business: to support our internal business functions, including finance, accounting and audit.
With your consent – we may use your Information with your consent for other purposes described at the point of collection.
Protecting our interests – we may use your Information when we believe it is necessary in order to take precautions against liabilities, investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, investigate and protect ourselves from fraud, protect the security or integrity of our Services and protect the rights and property of Lucky 8, its users and/or partners. We may share information collected with production companies, broadcasters, networks, streaming services, distributors, studios, advertisers, promotional partners, casting agencies, background screening providers, service providers, professional advisors, and affiliated entities where necessary to evaluate applicants, produce programming, distribute content, conduct business operations, promote Lucky 8 programs, comply with legal obligations, or protect our rights.
Compliance with Laws and Enforcement Entities – we may disclose your Information (i) if we are required to so by law or legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (iii) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (e.g., to enforce our Terms of Use); (iv) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss; or (v) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

Once we receive your request, we may verify it by requesting information sufficient to confirm your identity. We reserve the right to deny requests as allowed by applicable law, such as where we have a reasonable belief that the request is fraudulent, where your identity cannot be confirmed, or where we must retain your Information consistent with applicable law. Our goal is to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days (for U.S. residents), of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing within the initial response period. We will deliver our written response, electronically. If reasonably possible, we will provide your Information in a format that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information without hindrance.

Unless otherwise stated for a specific casting opportunity, applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old to apply. If a casting opportunity permits applications from minors, a parent or legal guardian may be required to provide consent, complete application materials, or otherwise participate in the application process.

This Privacy Policy describes our information practices. Casting applications, releases, appearance agreements, participant agreements, background check authorizations, medical authorizations, and other production-related documents may contain additional terms and disclosures that apply to specific productions or activities. Please review those documents carefully when provided.
Your use of the website is also subject to our Terms of Use. Creative ideas, television program concepts, pitches, proposals, scripts, formats, treatments, and other unsolicited creative materials are governed by our Terms of Use and any applicable submission release agreements.
12. International Visitors
The Services are operated from and intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Services from another jurisdiction, please be aware that your information may be collected, transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. By using the Services or providing information to us, you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to applicable law.

Requests to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising and “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information
Because Lucky 8 does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, opt-out mechanisms may not apply to current Site practices. Subject to applicable law and user choices, the Sites may include non-essential advertising cookies or similar technologies, but such technologies do not fire before consent. If our practices change, Lucky 8 will provide an opt-out method and will honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) where required by applicable law.

Additional Data Subject to Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80, such as your government identification numbers (e.g., driver’s license number) and bank account information.
Protected Classifications under applicable U.S. state or federal law, such as race, gender, and ethnicity.
Professional, work history, payment, tax, and background screening information, where applicable.
Sensory Information, such as electronic, visual and similar information.
Coarse geolocation may be inferred from IP address for website operation, security, analytics, or casting-related purposes. Lucky 8 does not collect precise geolocation through the general website.
Inferences drawn from the information identified above, if any, only where relevant to casting, eligibility, safety, production, promotional, or similar program-related considerations. We do not use personal information collected through our general Sites to create profiles for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive Personal Information
Certain categories of personal information listed above may be considered sensitive personal information as defined under California law. We do not use or disclose “sensitive personal information” in any way that would require us to provide an opt-out opportunity under California law.
