ABOUT US

Lucky 8 is a full-service unscripted production company founded in 2014 by producers and partners Kim Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub and George Kralovansky. Leveraging the combined experience of its veteran creative team, Lucky 8 produces feature documentaries and unscripted series in a variety of genres, spanning crime, food, science, wildlife and more.

Lucky 8’s groundbreaking and award-winning docuseries 60 Days In – which follows volunteers who enter one of the nation’s most dangerous corrections facilities as undercover “inmates” – debuted in 2016 on A&E as cable’s #1 new non-fiction series and A&E’s #1 show. The critically acclaimed breakout hit, which airs in more than 100 territories, wrapped its eighth season in fall 2023. Also recently launched for A&E is new series Booked: First Day In, chronicling arrested individuals as they go through America’s booking process in jails across the country.

Lucky 8 series also include The HISTORY Channel’s hit docudrama The Food that Built America, which spawned new franchise The Mega Brands That Build America, as well as National Geographic’s long-running series To Catch A Smuggler and Disney+’s Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper.

Additionally, Lucky 8’s feature documentary credits include NatGeo’s Emmy-nominated Jane Goodall: The Hope, as well as Showtime’s lauded Bronx Obama and DOC NYC premiere Standing Up.

Upcoming projects are in the works at Netflix, Discovery, National Geographic, PBS and other networks and platforms.
